
Having collaborated on a number of arts marketing projects with Jamie Rees previously, he described a project that would become a one-stop shop for information for live entertainment and sports in Cardiff.

Inspired by something seen at a local exhibition, and to celebrate in my own way twelve and a half years in Cardiff, and with an eye to a potential move to London (still pending!), I pulled together my most memorable places in Cardiff into a reworking of Harry Beck's iconic London tube map.
In November 2010 I was very pleased to find out that the powers that be at Holder Mathias Architects had seen fit to promote me to Associate. Proud smiles all round of course, with a slight blush at all the attention...

O how quickly time flies! It was only a year ago that I sat the Sylfaen level Welsh exam, and I've noticed a significant increase in my confidence and use of the language in my daily life ever since.
With renewed enthusiasm, I decided to continue the year-long Monday night course and sit the accompanying Canolradd Exam. Equivalent to an Level 2 NVQ, thereby being an equivalent to a GCSE, the exam consisted of 4 parts (reading, writing and listening papers, and a 20 minute interview with an examiner), and aimed to test the use of the Welsh language.
The results won't be available for another month or two, so watch this space!

In order to provide a more up-to-date entrance area to their city centre basement barber shop, Bentley and Co asked me to look at creating a reception desk that would embody their brand of barbering.
